This may include resolving issues with patrons, staffing shortfalls and liaising with FSUPD. Monitors public use of library facilities and contacts building maintenance as needed.

Recommends and enforces security procedures and policies. Assists in preparing maintaining, and providing updates & reports related to the operation of security.

Assists maintenance supervisor with basic tasks, as needed, by the request of the Facilities and Security Manager. May include light cleaning, moving furniture, etc. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency and one year experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to one year.

Experience demonstrating effective customer service skills.

The ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for extended periods of time is also required.Preferred A minimum of 6 months security or law enforcement related experience.

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related University policies and procedures.

Knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of management.

Knowledge of the policies and practices of library services.Anticipated Salary Range $21,193 annuallyPay Plan This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.Schedule Tuesday-Friday 7:45am-4:45pm and Saturday 9:30am-6:30pmCriminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
