The Administrative Support Associate works with the University Testing Services team. This position:
-Schedules testing appointments and greets clients and visitors for University Testing Services
-Greets & directs clients and visitors for Student Affairs Assessment, Research & Planning department
-Answers all calls to the department and addressing questions about services in University Testing Services
-Enters information in the databases and manages a filing system
-Assists the Testing Services Coordinator and Testing Assistant with proctoring and test administration services for testing candidates who use the Testing Services
-Works with the Testing Services Coordinator and Counseling Center Office Manager with managing departmental expenses and budgets
-Reconciles testing revenue and makes any necessary deposits for the department
-Prepares check requests and travel requisitions and arrangements for the department
-Maintains effective working relationships with the university community as well as the larger community; serving as a liaison to campus or other organizations in addition to learning new duties, as assigned

N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position

-Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and technical skills
-Experience in managing multiple forms of computer technology and information systems
-Ability to manage multiple tasks within a confidential, high pressure environment
-Ability to engage in an appropriate level of consultation with the Director and Testing Services Coordinator while demonstrating the ability to work independently, to problem-solve effectively and to make decisions based on information gained through experience

Preferred education, professional skills and experience

-Experience in Banner Finance is preferred
-Previous working experience in Higher Education
-Experience with numerous forms of technology (including computers, video, scanners, printers, Internet based delivery systems, biometrics, etc.)

Certifications or licensure required to perform the essential functions of the position

Must be able to acquire and maintain required certification sufficient to meet business needs.
