This position offers a 40 hour work week.
Hours and schedule may vary to include nights as well as some weekends as needed to meet departmental goals, deadlines and/or emergencies.

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, formal training programs, or on-the-job training. This is semi-skilled manual work with the proficient performance of duties related to basic carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and other general maintenance work for all Dining Services Facilities. Work will have an employee in this position to be available on-call.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Extensive knowledge of maintenance and repair of a wide variety of commercial food service equipment and building maintenance. Will have a knowledge of electrical circuitry and plumbing. Good interpersonal skills.Physical Demands
Climb stairs, ladders and scaffold, work from a ladder or scaffold.
Bend at the waist and knees
Work with arms and hands overhead for extended period of times
Use hand tools and power tools
Lift and move items at least 65 pounds in weight, both assisted and unassisted on a regular basis
Crawl to complete various task
Work in adverse climates
Safely operate a UGA state vehicle as necessary
