The Career Coordinator reports to and works under the regular direction of the Assistant Director of Corporate Engagement and will work closely with the rest of the USS team. The Career Coordinator serves as a liaison (direct link) between USS and Finance Department (including the Finance Career & Professional Advisor) to manage relationships with employers, students, and alumni involved in internship and full-time recruiting. They also perform a number of data management, special event coordination, and operational roles essential to effective execution of recruiting and alumni relations goals.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Recruiting & Relationship Management (50%)
•Work collaboratively with the USS and Finance Department to provide exceptional experience for both companies and students involved in full-time and internship recruiting.
•Create and maintain marketing materials used to build new recruiting opportunities for Finance students.
•Coordinate with the USS Director and AD Corporate Engagement and help initiate new recruiting relationships, both company- and industry-specific.
•Attend employer events including, but not limited to: Employer of the Day, Information Sessions, Coffee Chats, on Campus Interviews.
•In conjunction with USS team, advise recruiters on best strategies to target Finance students.
•Benchmark Terry’s recruiting policies for employers and students against other schools; recommend changes as appropriate.
•Coordinating with USS team, follow up with recruiters and other on-campus visitors to get feedback on student interactions; communicate feedback, along with any recommended follow-up, to USS team, Head of Finance Department and alumni Board.
•Monitor and recommend improvements as necessary to enhance customer service for employer and students.
•Meet with Finance Career & Professional Advisor bi-weekly to coordinate department effort and to ensure efforts are consistent.
•Perform data management, analytical, and system/operational roles essential to effective functioning of the USS
Student Career Development: (25%)
•Provide professional and career advising to students in one-on-one and group environments.
•Manage student relationships to help through the recruiting process.
•Establish and maintain knowledge of Handshake and familiarity with job postings on the site.
•Monitor and communicate recruiting trends and changes.
•Work with student groups such as Finance Society, SMIF, and others as needed.
Special Events: (15%)
•Lead coordination of annual Stock Pitch Challenge and Careers in Finance Day as well as any other department-specific events.
•Work with Terry Special Events, Marketing & Communications, and other internal groups to ensure smooth execution of events.
•Work with Terry and UGA Alumni Relations and Development to recruit alumni and other constituents to participate in events.
•Promote events to students to ensure adequate attendance.
•Coordinate follow up with participants and attendees.
Alumni Relations: (10%)
•Assist with logistics for semi-annual on-campus finance alumni Board meetings.
•Participate in all Finance Department alumni Board meetings and calls.
•Assist as needed with Finance Department alumni Board initiatives and participate as needed in subcommittee meetings and phone calls.
•Serve as point of contact within the Finance Department for alumni Board members.
