Hardware and Software Inventory Coordinator Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 201910107461 Full Time 8AM - 5PM Commensurate with Experience Position Information The Hardware and Software Inventory Coordinator will apply technical expertise and business analysis concepts as the campus' software distributor and the ITS asset manager. This position will be responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology related hardware assets within the organization. The coordinator will work with campus customers and partners to determine their software needs, suggest software titles and versions, provide quotes, and distribute software licenses via the many different software portals once purchased. The coordinator will track the various types of software licenses as well as who has been issued what license (if applicable). He/she will collaborate with ITS procurement analysts when purchasing campus wide software such as Microsoft (MCCA) and Adobe. The coordinator will recommend and implement new campus wide procedures to ensure the efficient distribution of software licenses to enable customer success. In addition, the ideal candidate will manage ITS computer inventory by tracking various assets issued to ITS staff as well as those returned, maintain a loaner inventory for use when necessary, and recommend and implement an asset inventory system and tag all ITS computers. He/She will also collaborate with vendors and ITS leadership to determine campus computer standards for our campus managed desktop clients as well as formulate process and procedures for the managed desktop service. The offer for this position will be commensurate with experience within the budgeted range of $65,000 to $75,000. Minimum Requirements Thorough Knowledge of related areas of IT.
Strong skills and knowledge of methodologies associated with analysis of processes and problems, information flow and architecture.
Thorough knowledge of business processes and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of business and process analysis functions.
Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.
In-depth understanding and skill in process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description.
Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Interpersonal and communications skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications Broad knowledge relating to software design.

Experience with software and/or hardware inventory and/or license management.
