Job Details
ECU Student Affairs is currently seeking a graduate student to work as a technology support specialist.
PURPOSE:
A primary focus of this position will be the daily health monitoring of the university’s digital signage system. This system consists of around 250 screens/players in almost every facility across both east and west campuses. Support will involve remote support, field visits, player reimaging, and a wide range of troubleshooting techniques to support the screens, players, servers, and other peripheral devices/systems. This position will also provide general IT support to assist the efforts of Student Affairs Technology Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provides general IT support to the office of Student Affairs Technology Services for digital signage, special projects and general hardware/software support.
•Conduct regular workstation troubleshooting, setup and reimaging.
•Provide support to digital signage workstations to ensure high up-time and availability.
•Assist in reporting and tracking hardware and software inventories.
•Create support documentation for projects and assist clients.
•Other similar responsibilities as determined by need.
Preferred IT related majors with at least 1 year of IT or computer related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
