The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Talent Acquisition Consultant on the Gainesville campus. The Talent Acquisition Consultant will be responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. This position will require building relationships with on-campus hiring managers by identifying opportunities in which student employees can assist departments with meeting their business needs in addition to identifying ways to improve the overall hiring process.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:The Talent Acquisition Consultant will:
- Partner with various hiring managers and departments to strategically plan and proactively assist with the student hiring process (Institutional, Federal Work-Study, Graduate Assistants and Camps) by providing relevant information to hiring managers as well as processing student job postings, hiring proposals and student worker agreements. Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation. Prepare offer letter packages in addition to working with the HR Assistants to ensure onboarding documents are completed in a timely manner. Conduct individualized onboarding sessions with various departments. Review all returned materials at the conclusion of hiring searches to ensure completeness of the search file. Ensure that all applicants are notified of the outcome of the search once the position has been filled. Responsible for entering background checks for student new hires, eCore and Pcards. Also responsible for following up with background check vendor to ensure background checks are completed in a timely manner.
- Screen applications/resumes through careful evaluation of experience, training, and certifications of the posted vacancy.
- Serve as an advisor and/ or consultant to the hiring managers during the recruitment and selection process for the university ensuring managers understand the timeliness and appropriateness of recruitment activities.
- Be responsible for providing creativity in sourcing candidates to include: job boards, job fairs, social media (local and national), Department of Labor etc.; Manage the student texting process. Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting students.
- Be responsible for staying current with HR policies, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices. Also responsible for ensuring internal management understanding and compliance with all university, local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have the ability to work well in a diverse environment in addition to excellent organizational and human relations / customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong consultative skills including the ability to persuade and negotiate.
- Ability to demonstrate clear leadership by engaging in the recruitment process, working with hiring managers and providing real time solutions to challenging hiring issues as they arise.
- Must be results driven, have the ability to multi-task, and have superior attention to detail skills and detailed oriented.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- Two to three years of job related experience with a demonstrated track-record of achievement in the recruitment industry.
- Hands on experience with recruiting system is highly desirable.
- Full-Cycle recruiting experience preferred.
- PeopleSoft experience preferred.
- PHR or SHRM-CP is desirable
