Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): 

Associate's degree (foreign equivalent or higher degree). In lieu of the degree, two (2) years of directly related experience. Experience in research or experience in a research setting.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher degree). Two (2) years of full time clinical research experience.

 

Brief Description of Duties: 

Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Clinical Research Assistant will coordinate the day to day activities with regard to the smooth running of a clinical research study in the Psychiatry department.  


Recruit, schedule and coordinate: Will facilitate subject enrollment by locating, recruiting and screening subjects from a variety of sources outpatient facilities and the general community.

Track, schedule and retention of subjects during the course of the projects as well as follow-up periods.

Coordinate the activities of study staff: The incumbent will organize the work of other staff members to complete study aims. This will include organizing team schedules task assignment.

Coordinate all IRB reporting procedures, including amendments, protocol deviations, AEs and SAEs and ensuring all IRB deadlines are met. 

Responsible for data entry & data management: Ensuring accuracy of data input and verification.

Manage the maintenance  of confidential records of research data findings.

Maintain records and order materials, and office supplies.

Other duties as assigned.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Evening and weekend work will be required at times.
