Job Summary

The Department of Veterinary Science at the University of Kentucky is seeking a non tenure-track faculty to contribute to the ongoing research program in infectious disease, with a primary focus on molecular virology. The selected applicant will apply for and secure extramural research support on topics relevant to molecular virology and/or infectious disease either as a Principal Investigator or in collaboration with others. In addition, this position will be expected to publish research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals on a regular, frequent basis and also present this information at appropriate regional, national and international meetings.

Additional duties include: participate with faculty in the department, college and university in developing and promoting a dynamic and productive interdisciplinary group between the Gluck Center and Equine Science programs in other departments on campus; participate in the education, guidance and training of undergraduate and graduate students in the department; and be willing to accept assignments on standing or ad hoc department, college or university committees.
