The Accounts Resource Analyst will work under general supervision receiving work lead direction from the Budget and Personnel Analyst. The incumbent will provide support in developing, researching, and analyzing financial data in addition to supporting the department¿s accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Initiate all payments and purchasing transitions using FTS and/or CFS for all business units within UPD.
- Reconciling of vendor statements and purchase orders using FTS and CFS.
- On-going audit of encumbrances within all department funds and submitting change orders as needed.
- Run monthly payroll audit and LCD reports and advise Lead of discrepancies.
- Preparation of department monthly billing uploads and journal entries.
- Officer stipend reconciliation.
- Submission of CRU reimbursements for officers overtime charges.
- Tracking of yearly purchase orders for all business units within UPD.
- Responsible for tracking work study students and allocated funds.
- Pay monthly utility bills on ProCard.
- Preparation and entering of Operating Fund travel and training authorizations/reimbursement and expense reimbursements for Department in FTS system.
- Submission of Officer¿s travel related expenses for CRU trainings.
- Educate department staff on process and procedures of SJSU travel policies.
- Track and monitor uniform purchases made by staff who have annual allowance and provide financial analysis to Administrators, as needed.
- Pay for training/travel registrations, hotel, and transportation with GoCard and/or submit to Fell Travel
Required Qualifications- A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training
- Administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum one year of Account Audit experience
- Minimum one year of Accounts Payable experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Knowledge of fund accounting practices and the ability to maintain multiple detailed spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft/CMS HR, FTS, CFS, and Data Warehouse.
- Knowledge of police department payroll processes; specifically shift differential and holiday pay.
- Excellent audit skills of accounts using FTS, CFS, and Data Warehouse.
- Complete knowledge of Accounts Payable process in FTS.
- Ability to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all operational functions.
- Ability to handle multiple work priorities, organize and plan work and projects.
- Ability to adapt effectively in a fast-paced evolving environment.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive communications with employees and the external agencies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
