Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The Department of Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology at Kennesaw State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in Quantitative Ecology to begin August 1, 2020. We are seeking an innovative ecologist with the statistical, mathematical, and computational expertise necessary to address ecological questions over a range of spatial and temporal scales. Research must have a strong quantitative focus, and may use observational, experimental, theoretical, and/or molecular approaches. The successful candidate will be competitive for external funding and establish an externally recognized research program that includes undergraduate and graduate students. Teaching responsibilities will include courses at the undergraduate and graduate level that fit with the needs of the department and the candidate’s expertise. The CSM’s Student Success Initiative has an imperative for including and fostering success for students from a diversity of backgrounds in STEM degree programs. Successful applicants will be strongly committed to inclusive teaching practices and student success among CSM disciplines and be ready to invest deeply in KSU students. Other duties will include participation in departmental, university, and professional service.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

An earned doctorate in biology, ecology, or related disciplines or the foreign equivalent is required. Preference may be given to those applicants with relevant postdoctoral training and teaching experience.
