The Annual Giving Coordinator will be principally charged with assisting in the coordination of a comprehensive Annual Giving program by administering annual fundraising programs including: assisting in the organizing of a targeted multi-channel integrated program and all subsequent data requests, clubs and organizations across campus; maintain accurate tracking records, and provide frequent reports on Annual Giving efforts and reports for active use in management strategy.
The Annual Giving Coordinator will also work in tandem with AG team and the University's Office of Strategic Communication to coordinate a cohesive annual marketing effort to increase annual gifts through advertising, publications, social networking and events related to the Annual Giving program. Additional responsibility include being a liaison with other departments, such as Alumni Relations to implement AG strategic follow-up for event attendance and social media interaction.
The coordinator will collaborate with Annual Giving team members on large-scale items such as Giving Days, special giving challenges, and other new initiatives as they are created. Partner with AG leadership to execute a comprehensive student philanthropy program, beginning before students arrive on campus in the first year and culminating in a successful Senior Class Gift campaign to include educating students on the importance of philanthropy, on-campus event planning, and coordination of stewardship of gifts in all facets of their four-year experience.
The coordinator will also be involved in the supervision of the student telemarketing program - supervising student outreach representatives (student callers) including the recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching of student employees. Manage administrative details such as payroll, student employee evaluations, professional workplace conduct, and maintaining training guides for student employees. Evaluate and report on progress toward goals to both student employees and the Director of Annual Giving. Supervise intern(s) who assist in managing and analyzing individual outreach results.
Good written and verbal communication skills and strong understanding of social media.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of University programs and priorities. Participates in campus-wide events such as Homecoming and other related duties as assigned. Perform other essential duties and tasks specific to the position.

Specific Duties:
  • Coordinates execution of Telemarketing program.
  • Ensures proper implementation of multiple Annual Giving priorities of highly segmented direct mail, telemarketing, social and e-solicitation projects, with close attention to detail.
  • Implements and maintains proper targeted social media initiatives.
  • Maintains departmental calendars, tracking logs, inventory, presentation folders and materials.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Annual Giving department and other departments, clubs and organizations on and off campus.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two years experience in developing copy and organizing projects.
  • Two years in managing a student telemarketing program.
  • The successful candidate must have strong knowledge of social media platforms, MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • The incumbent must encompass traits of good judgement and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of WordPress, Banner Advancement and Reheer platforms.
  • Experience working in higher education and advancement.
