The Student Service Assistant II, Child Care Testing provides administrative support to the Testing Coordinator and performs advanced clerical duties related to the child care competency exams.

•Provides support to the Child Care Testing Coordinator in all facets of test preparation, security, inventory and storage
•Ensures payment reports are submitted prior to each testing
•Prepares all materials needed for Miami Dade College and Miami Dade County Public Schools instructor and proctor trainings, including test materials, test copies and USB drives
•Assists the Testing Coordinator in processing high school exams, including registrations, verification of rosters, creating exam sessions and following up with payments
•Files forms that are received by ACCESS Department and ensure that proper protocol is being followed for students requesting special accommodations
•Serves as proctor for competency tests in Miami Dade and Monroe counties
•Creates weekly driving schedule approved by the Testing Coordinator for part-time employees
•Drives, delivers and retrieves tests at all testing sites
•Provides technical assistance to students regarding child care training registration and other matters
•Reviews and clears the “Paid No Exam Result” list on a daily basis
•Performs other duties as assigned

•Associate’s degree (AA or AS) from an accredited college/university in a related field of study such as Early Childhood and four (4) years of clerical and/or early childhood experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education
•All degrees must be from a regionally accredited insitution
•Possess a current valid driver’s license
•Knowledge and understanding of training and education principles
•Possess effective interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and public relation skills
•Ability to perform basic departmental functions; such as, locating materials, answering questions, and directing clients
•Ability to work with user communities of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
•Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, and weekend assignments
•Ability to drive to testing sites in Miami Dade and Monroe counties as needed
•Ability to carry and deliver testing materials throughout Miami Dade and Monroe counties
•Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
