The Program Director provides leadership for all programs at the Idea Center. This position oversees the design, development and implementation of the Center’s programs, workshops and events aligned with its mission to be the entrepreneurship and innovation hub for MDC and the community.

    Directs the Center’s programming by identifying, developing and implementing existing and new programsHires, supervises and evaluates all program-related personnel and establishes departmental policies and proceduresEnsures effective implementation of all programs, workshops, and events hosted by the Center and in partnership with external organizationsProvides professional development opportunities for all employees in the departmentAnalyzes date and prepares reports for the Executive Director and College leadership on Center’s KPIs and overall performanceSupports the School of Business with curriculum development pertaining to courses for College Credit Certificates and the Associate of Science in Business EntrepreneurshipPrepares program performance reports for the Executive Director and maintains program budget and equipmentRepresents and markets the Center to internal stakeholders at MDC and externally to the Miami entrepreneurship communitySupports the Executive Director with grant proposal presentation as neededPerforms other duties as assigned

    Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant combined experience in education and industry experience as a former or current business entrepreneur or business innovation leaderDemonstrated expertise and thought leadership in entrepreneurship education and business training programsPossess superior planning, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsExcellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively and professionally with faculty and staff at all levels and with external partners and industry leadersAbility to manage multiple projects and changing priorities with excellent organization and prioritization skills; perform effectively under pressure of deadlinesAbility to travel between campuses and within the communityAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office suite and program management and data analysis tools (e.g. Wrike, Slack, Tableau)Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsDetail-oriented and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to work and communicate in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
