The University Health Network (UHN) and Sinai Health System (SHS) in partnership with the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, is seeking a fulltime GYNAECOLOGIC ONCOLOGIST with demonstrated excellence in Gynaecologic Oncology to practice within our multi-disciplinary setting. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2017 or sooner.

The Gynaecologic Oncology at UHN and SHS is integrated into a multidisciplinary group including medical and radiation oncology, pathology and radiology. This group is the largest of its kind in Canada and one of the largest in North America with over 1,000 consultations per year, providing comprehensive care to women with gynaecologic malignancies. The Division participates in teaching of trainees at all levels and it includes a Royal College accredited Gynaecologic Oncology Fellowship Program at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine. The Division has a robust and productive research program that includes basic, translational, clinical, health services and global health initiatives. Research forms a high strategic priority and is strongly supported by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at UHN and SHS.

Those candidates with focus on either research in medical education, clinician investigator, surgical innovation, or basic/translational research are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate’s focus will include undergraduate and postgraduate education at the level of the Division of Gynaecologic Oncology at UHN/SHS and the University of Toronto. She/He must be a strong team player with solid commitment to patient care, innovative research and teaching. There will be considerable collaboration with other specialties within this multidisciplinary group.

The qualified applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the RCPSC and must hold an MD degree, be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario. The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment with the University of Toronto’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the minimum rank of Assistant Professor. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will promote and demonstrate excellence in professional practice and conduct.
