Joint Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology – Sinai Health System, Women’s College Hospital and the University Health Network
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Women’s College Hospital (WCH) and Sinai Health System (SHS), in partnership with the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is currently recruiting one full-time physician with a demonstrated excellence and subspecialty training in Minimally Invasive Gynaecologic Surgery. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2017 or sooner.
The Division participates in teaching of trainees at all levels and it includes a Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) fellowship program. In the area of MIS, the department anticipates a robust and productive clinical research program. The successful candidate will be strongly supported by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at both WCH and SHS to demonstrate excellence in research as it forms a high strategic priority for the department. The successful candidate’s academic focus will be in undergraduate and postgraduate education focusing on but not limited to Minimally Invasive Surgery. Preferably, the candidate will hold a Master’s degree or higher in Public Health or Clinical Epidemiology.
The qualified applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the RCPSC and must hold an MD degree, be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario. The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment with the University of Toronto’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will promote and demonstrate excellence in professional practice and conduct.
