Job FieldThe Department of Surgery, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sarcoma Program at Mount Sinai Hospital is inviting applications for the position of Academic Orthopaedic Oncologist.

The effective date of this appointment is July 1, 2014.

This position requires advanced surgical skills and clinical experience in musculoskeletal oncology. Fellowship training in orthopaedic oncology is essential. Evidence of strong leadership skills, as well as excellence in clinical care, teaching and research is required. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have a research background sufficient to develop an independent research program leading to major improvements in understanding sarcoma biology or in clinical care.

The candidate should be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, and be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

The Sarcoma Program at Mount Sinai Hospital is a world-renowned leader in musculoskeletal oncology. Mount Sinai Hospital is an academic institution affiliated with the University of Toronto and is recognized internationally for excellence in healthcare, research and education.

Salary will be between the range of $196,867 - $400,000, as well as commensurate with qualifications and experience.
