The Compensation division at the University of Cincinnati is looking for a Compensation Analyst II to assist with the design, administration and monitoring of the University’s compensation and classification programs. This individual will work to ensure there is internal and external competitiveness, and consistent pay practices. They will provide information, make decisions and recommendations and assist with HR Analytics, coordination, and communication functions.

Primary Duties

  • Evaluate administrative and staff positions in the university’s classification and compensation programs, in accordance with HR departmental goals and in compliance with related rules and regulations.
  • Approve personnel change requests (PCR) from business units via HRIS system. Perform position audits and make recommendations. Maintain HR systems, evaluate and make recommendations.
  • Initiate correspondence and respond to inquiries regarding classification recommendations. Develop and revise job descriptions/classification specifications.
  • Assist university offices with implementation of staff reorganizations. Conduct salary equity and reclassification determinations.
  • Respond to compensation surveys; conduct salary survey/job market research and summarize results.
  • Assist in the design, preparation and analysis of various compensation projects including monthly HR Analytics audits and related reports.
  • Responsible for job description creation and maintenance.
  • Must maintain confidentiality with high level of integrity. Responsible for accurate and timely storage of HR-related documents in accordance with UC’s Records Retention Schedule.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field.
  • Requires two years of direct compensation work experience.
