DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager for Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, the incumbent will serve as the Assistant for the Acoustic Program and Program Administrator. Provides general patient and administrative support, including patient calls, triage and scheduling, new patient referral data collection, registration verification and coordinating authorizations.

The Program Assistant will also be responsible for supporting the Program Administrator including maintaining calendars, meetings, events coordination, maintaining files and computer databases, completing projects, and assisting with marketing. Excellent communication skills, serve as a resource for patients and staff. Functions as expert key user for AN Program. May perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of third-party payors including federal, state and private health plans.

  • Possess proficient computer skills and be able to work between multiple systems during calls.

  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

  • Possess strong problem-solving ability by using good judgment and applying these skills to assist customers and ensure customers' expectations are met.

  • Be a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Cadence scheduling and electronic medical records experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Must be able to cover between various department locations as needed.
