The Housekeeper will perform a variety of duties in the care and cleaning of offices, classrooms, corridors and restrooms. Duties may include physically strenuous activities such as moving furniture, operating heavy cleaning equipment and delivering large quantities of housekeeping supplies. Work is performed under close supervision, guided by a daily schedule of assignments. Work is reviewed through inspections and frequent consultation with supervisory personnel.

N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions

Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work

Preferred education, professional skills and experience

Physical strength to work at medium to heavy manual labor for considerable periods of time

Two years commercial cleaning experience

Certifications or licensure required to perform the essential functions of the position

NC Drivers License preferred
