DescriptionJobPurpose: Performroutine, standardized housekeeping services within assigned building or area.

 MajorResponsibilities:

Provide housekeeping services within assigned area which normally include emptying of trash receptacles; dusting; spot cleaning; cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, medical and food service are; restocking supplies, dust, damp or wet mopping; sweeping and vacuuming.

Operate and maintain power equipment which may include carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide-area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot cleaning machines and other powered equipment.

Maintain housekeeping/storage closets, tools and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.

Utilize prescribed safety equipment as required.

Utilize chemicals and supplies in a safe and prescribed manner.

Respond to work request from building occupants and the department's service request system.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

BasicQualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED or Vocational School Diploma

Work Experience: One year job related experience

Certifications: N/A

Skills: This job requires basic skills in delivery of housekeeping services including operation of cleaning equipment and use of cleaning supplies.

AdditionalInformation: Thisposition may be exposed to weather conditions, hazardous materials, extremecold and heat, fumes, dust, noise and inadequate or poor quality lighting. Mustbe able to lift up to 50 pound, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
