Preferred QualificationsPosition SummaryThe Access Control Administrator will primarily be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting the Security Systems on campus including Access Control, Intrusion Detection and Video Surveillance. This position will manage the servers, applications, and networking for these systems in coordination with other entities on campus. This position will provide advanced level direct support to end users on campus the use the various deployed Security Systems. This position will also coordinate with outside Security System integrators that install these systems in UGA
facilities. As part of the job, the employee will be responsible for setting up and providing monitoring of the Security Systems and providing after hours on-call support in coordination with the other members of the FMD IT Department. Cross training will be required with other Building Automation Systems ran by FMD to provide assistance as needed.
*Knowledge of the maintenance and administration of the UGA Access Control Systems
*Ability to respond to events across campus during and after normal work hours.
*Ability to complete analysis and reporting of databases to streamline functions
*Can transport equipment and assist users on-site
*Knowledge of security systems
*Ability to be cleared by Bio-Safety, FBI & CDC to enter high security areas
- Involves working in front of computer for 8 hrs/day, 5 days/week.
- Lift up to 50 lbs and transport computers and related equipment.
