The University of Maine School of Law, located in the coastal city of Portland, Maine, invites applications for up to three full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty positions to begin in the Fall of 2020. The Law School is particularly interested in candidates whose focus includes civil procedure and associated courses, including remedies and conflicts of law; information privacy; commercial law, including secured transactions and bankruptcy; and business law and other transactional courses. We may also consider candidates with expertise in environmental and energy law, as well as trusts and estates, health law, and elder law.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a J.D. degree; an excellent academic record; a record or promise of high scholarly achievement; and a record or promise of successful teaching and mentoring students. Both lateral and entry level candidates will be considered. Rank and salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
