Under the direction of the Director, the Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of designated programs, including training and scheduling; special event planning, coordination, organization and promotion; public relations development, involvement and support; and other administrative tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists with project planning, design, development and implementation
• Assists in executing and/or managing special events/projects for the department
• Provides resource management to the department and briefs and informs Director
• Assists with policy planning and development
• Serves on committees as directed and attends appropriate professional meetings, conferences, and/or workshops
• Provides recommendations and communicates to appropriate leaders, teams and committees
• Responsible for updating material for existing classes and programs
• Develops and supports workplace and campus based sites as appropriate
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
• Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
• Experience with computerized systems
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
• Knowledge of various types of diverse student issues and how they affect a student’s participation in campus activities
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience planning, publicizing and implementing a variety of programs
• Experience developing educational promotional materials
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Special Instructions Summary

This is an on-call position, maximum 19.5 hrs. per week. On-call work schedules may vary based on individual campus/departmental needs.
