The Assistant News Producer is responsible for assisting the news division of Spinnaker Television.
All news programming falls under the direction of the Assistant Producer.
The Assistant Producer should have some experience in creative productions.
They must be organized and able to work with other staff to create a well-known program and have a good understanding of video, cameras, non-linear editing, and video file formats.

Required Qualifications

*This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may be asked to perform other related duties as required to meet the on-going needs of Spinnaker.

Meet weekly goals set by Station Manager.
Be available for weekly office hours.
Be responsible for recording videos for shows.
Develop creative ideas for college-oriented programming.
Produce at least one episode per week.
Secure proper talent rights and releases for each show.
Stay aware of trends in the industry.
Communicate with staff according to department policies.

*Pay is a lump sum contingent on meeting the responsibilities and qualifications of the position consistent with a minimum of 5 hours of competent effort each week.
*Be continuously enrolled at UNF for the duration of the position and not be on academic probation or suspension according to the most recent UNF course catalog.
