This is a position for a cardiac anesthesiologist primarily to provide clinical anesthesia care with teaching opportunities to residents and medical students.

Major teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students in the operating room, and didactic sessions. Primary emphasis of teaching will be in the cardiac anesthesia patient care area. Provision of clinical anesthetic care will be primarily, but not exclusively, for cardiac surgical patients (i.e. working in the operating room, plus evening and weekend call) in an anesthesia team model or personally performed anesthesia. Opportunity for participation or to lead clinical research for interested and qualified candidates.
The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:Completion of anesthesiology residency program, and certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Completion of subspecialty fellowship training in cardiac anesthesia.
License or Certificate:Wisconsin medical license, board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology
