The StudioLab is committed to "serious play" and creates a safe space for learners of all levels and experiences to explore and engage. Some recent events and programs associated with the StudioLab include StudioLab Cafés, which allow students to lead and/or participate in artistic explorations, "Hack the Drag," a weekend-long hackathon with the aim of providing a safe space for culturally relevant STEM-making and teaching through wearable electronics and drag, participation in MakerFaire 2018, and workshops in the Princeton Public Library. StudioLab courses include Storytelling with Technology for Performance, which explores how we can we use technology to enhance, frame, or reveal new perspectives on stories told, and Transformations in Engineering and the Arts, in which students explore the parallels and intersections of design/composition in engineering and the arts.
