Founded on the tenets of student success and institutional excellence, the Division of Student Affairs is devoted to the holistic wellness and development of students, providing co-curricular programs and services that empower students to realize their educational goals and personal growth. With students as our primary focus, Student Life makes Life at NCTC memorable, engaging and purposeful through opportunities for personal, educational, and professional growth outside of the classroom. The Student Life Specialist is responsible for providing Student Life leadership and engagement in Denton County and district-wide programming. Leadership and engagement activities include but are not limited to student activities, campus recreation, civic engagement, student organizations, and Student Government Association.

Travel may be required between campuses and to out of town meetings.

Salary: pay grade 105 $28,891

Required Education

GED or High School Diploma

Associate’s Degree preferred

Required Skills & Abilities

•Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both oral and written.
•Ability to work independently and in teams.
•Ability to relate to students, staff, Faculty and Administration with different backgrounds.
•Must possess leader and supervisory skills.
•Must be Microsoft and computer proficient.

Preferred Skills & Abilities

•Experience with Social Media
•Knowledge of Google Drive

Required Experience

1 year related experience.

Preferred Experience

2 or more years related experience with an emphasis in student development.
