DescriptionThe Student Services Coordinator promotes and maintains a warm, friendly, nurturing atmosphere conducive to keeping students in school. They will assist the Director of Education and Central Registrar in implementing programs and activities to recognize and show appreciation for student’s achievements and successes, supports the Central Registrar in activities related to continuing student registration, and lead the process for withdrawn students to re-enter and in their program of study and successfully move toward graduation.

-Manages monitoring attendance for all students
-Responsible for ensuring attendance records are entered into CampusVUE by all faculty within twenty minutes of start of class
-Calls absent students during the same class period of absence in order to assist them in finding a way to attend that class
-Develops and distributes daily reports of student absences and distributes to key academic personnel at the campus.
-Enters all student communications into Contact Manager section of CampusVUE
-Communicates effectively with Program/Department Chairs and faculty regarding student engagement and outreach
-Oversees the creation of CampusVue activity development for the Central Registrar to enter withdrawal from the consecutive absence report
-Maintains primary responsibility along with Program/Department Chairs for achieving student re-entry targets
-Directs the organization of quarterly awards promotions and assemblies at the campus for all students
-Owns responsibility for the publication and distribution the campus’ monthly student newsletter
Provides oversight and ensures that instructors submit final grades
-Owns responsibility for the preparation of perfect attendance, President’s list and honor list certificates on a timely basis at the end of each quarter
-Responsible for the completion analysis of students’ satisfactory academic progress
-Owns responsibility for the completion of all requests for transcripts on a timely basis
-Completes grade reports and mails grade reports to students on a timely basis
-Reviews and submits to manager for final review and action, files of students who have completed graduation requirements
-Ensures all academic records including, but not limited to, master student files, grade cards, attendance records, transcripts, and schedules are accurate
-Controls access to and maintains in a fireproof facility (vault) files on former students
-Maintains a log of class schedules by term, obtaining student’s signature when the student picks up his/her class schedule
-Assists in reviewing the College’s catalog for compliance with the Director of Education regulations and for compliance with the ACICS accreditation criteria Requirements-Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required
-Experience working with students in an academic setting
-Experience in program planning and implementation
-Demonstrated skills in understanding student career foundations, job placement and the instructional process
-Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to prepare and maintain records, correspondence, reports and other data
-Able to work flexible schedules including evening and week-ends
-Excellent customer service skills, telephone, organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements: This job requires normal physical mobility, including the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Normal hand-eye coordination; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and lift up to 40 pounds, is also required.

Mental Requirements: This job requires the ability to read, recall, write and understand information. This job also requires the ability to work under moderate pressure and to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Environment: This job is normally performed in a clean, well-lighted, heated and cooled office area/classroom.
