Description:

The Division of Cardiology, University of Washington School of Medicine and Regional Heart Center is seeking two heart failure cardiologists to join the Advanced Heart Failure and Mechanical Circulatory Support services at the University of Washington Medical Center. The successful applicants will be appointed to the full-time faculty at the University of Washington at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level (without tenure due to funding), commensurate with qualifications. These positions have an annual service period of 12 months (July 1 – June 30).

University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Position will remain open until filled. Anticipated start date will be March 1, 2020.


Qualifications:

The applicants should possess strong clinical skills in the management of end-stage heart failure and transplant/post-transplant patients. Candidates should have a strong interest in scholarship with a demonstrated record of research and publication.

Applicants must have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
