Full-Time Close All Job SummaryThe Institute for Behavioral Genetics at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring a Professional Research Assistant to assist the PI and research team with a longitudinal study of adolescent brain development.Who We AreThe Institute for Behavioral Genetics (IBG) is an organized research unit of the University of Colorado Graduate School dedicated to conducting and facilitating research on the genetic and environmental bases of individual differences in behavior. The ABCD Study is following over 11,000 children nationwide for approximately 10 years and is funded by the National Institutes of Health. Study participants are adolescents and their parents who complete neuroimaging, cognitive assessments, and interviews related to social, behavioral, physical and emotional outcomes.What Your Key Responsibilities Will BeThis full-time (100%) position will require weekend work during the school year and may be varied days throughout the summer.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Conduct detailed clinical interviews.
  • Administer behavioral measures and neuropsychological assessments.
  • Collect and handle biological specimens.
  • Assist with neuroimaging sessions.
  • Administrative duties including scheduling study visits, obtaining informed consent, scoring study data, attending research meetings, maintaining equipment and supplies, providing assistance to the coordinator as directed.

  • BA/BS in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field of study.
  • Experience working with adolescent children in a research setting.
  • Experience administering clinical interviews and neuropsychological assessments.
What You Will Need
  • Ability to represent the University and our department in a professional manner.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for a research environment.
What We Would Like You To Have
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
  • Phlebotomy skills are a plus.
