The Clinical Research Coordinator A/B will provide research support to the Department of General Internal Medicine. This position will be responsible for supporting and implementing day-to-day operations for the Cardiac Rehab pilot study.
This CRC-A position is supporting day-to-day operations for innovative behavioral research programs with the Penn Medicine Center for Health Care Innovation and the Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. Responsibilities include: 1) participant recruitment, 2) enrolling study participants through the web-based platform, 3) monitoring study activity as participants move through milestones completing study milestones, 4) Management of study devices, including updating device database and device mailings, 5) data tracking and follow-up with participants throughout the study duration. Additionally, the CRC-A will report directly to the Project Manager and will meet weekly with PI/ co-PI’s and/or Project Director for technical advice or to report on status of work in progress.
The CRC-B position will implement the day-to-day operations for innovative behavioral research programs with the Penn Medicine Nudge Unit within the Center for Health Care Innovation. Responsibilities include: 1) overseeing the day-to-day activity of the study; 2) overseeing any study student workers and/or interns; 3) preparing IRB submissions, maintain the study’s CTMS account and eRegulatory binder; 4) recruiting and enrolling study participants including orienting them to the study device and activing as the main point of contact to partcipants; 5) perform follow-ups with participants; 6) management of study devices and participant databases, including data tracking; 7) process study payments; and 8) prepare recruitment and study milestone reports. Additionally, the CRC-B will report directly to the Project Manager and will meet weekly with the Study PIs and project team to report on the status of work in progress.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Understanding of regulatory compliance issues preferred. Experience working with electronic systems and data systems, and understanding good data management practices preferred. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with MS Office Suite is essential. Position contingent upon funding.
Qualifications
CRC A - Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
CRC B - Bachelor's Degree with 2-4 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
