•Oversees the maintenance of fire alarms
•Manages systems data and security codes
•Programs access and burglar alarm systems (system and end-users)
•Prepares end-user reports, system reports for preventive maintenance
•Reviews blueprints for fire alarms and access security system in new construction
•Inspects job site for quality workmanship
•Inspects college building and facilities for conformance to code and safety-to-life requirements
•Performs other duties as assigned

•Associate’s degree and four (4) years of operational experience in field with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role; or High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution and six (6) years of operational experience in field with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
•Knowledge of general office practices
•Working knowledge of electronic computerized systems, network systems, NFPA codes, local codes, government regulations and codes, and inspection procedures
•Working knowledge of procedures for mechanical and chemical equipment
•Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications and database systems software applicable to the department
•Possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends as assigned
•Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
