DescriptionThe University Community Collaborative (UCC) is looking to hire an Administrative Specialist to Support the VOICES program. The UCC, housed in Political Science at Temple University, is a grant funded initiative that provides leadership development programming for high school students in Philadelphia. Programming is provided on Temple’s campus in North Philadelphia.
The Administrative Specialist will support the Director with the coordination of the VOICES afterschool program by performing duties including, but not limited to: acting as a front-line contact for parents, schools and community organizations for basic inquiries and triage, administering the logistics of the recruitment and training of college student workers who will work with the high school participants, supporting the administration of the participant recruitment effort, entering data in Excel pertaining to program enrollment and attendance, ensuring program assessment procedures are followed and tracked for completion and review by Director, collecting and tracking the submission of compliance paperwork for participants, parental consent and student worker background checks and follow-up with each stakeholder to collect missing documentation, maintaining files for program documents and scheduling, supporting and documenting VOICES meetings and events.      Hours will include some evenings and weekends. Performs other duties as assigned. 

Required Education & Experience:At least 2 years of work experience working with high school or college students. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 
Required Skills & Abilities:*Ability to maintain a positive, professional and customer service oriented demeanor in all face- to-face, phone and electronic interpersonal interactions.*Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills. *Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and act ethically.*Comfort interacting with and presenting to diverse stakeholders at various levels.*Comfort with using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint*Comfort with technology, specifically communicating through multiple channels
This is a grant funded position.This position requires a background check.
