Job Description:

Unity College is seeking an Open Rank Professor of Conservation Law Enforcement (CLE) to support instructional and disciplinary expertise in the Conservation Law Enforcement Program on Unity College's Flagship campus. This position will support transdisciplinary thought and contribute to the foundational support of our transdisciplinary approach to education. Teaching includes 21 course credits annually, consisting of a combination of classes such as Courtroom Procedure and Evidence, Criminology, Natural Resource Law, Environmental Enforcement, Environmental Law and/or the Conservation Law Capstone. Contribution to an immersive semester and/or expeditionary learning model will be expected. Other duties include advising, scholarship, professional development and college service. This position will support the sustainability science framework embedded in the Unity College mission.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a related field/Juris Doctor plus:

• Credentials appropriate to the discipline, such as but not limited to professional certifications and/or licenses.
• Experience working in the field of conservation law enforcement at the state or federal level
• Experience with procedures of criminal law
• Experience interacting with and/or supervising law enforcement officers
• Experience with formal teaching in an institutional setting or police academy
• Proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and email programs
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
