The Communication, Media & Journalism Department of the University of North Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Film & Digital Media. The department seeks candidates qualified to teach Production Finance, Management & Distribution, Pre-Production, and other courses in film and media production and/or media studies. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Film & Digital Media and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, as well as associate pathways toward these degree programs, and its faculty members are committed to being both effective instructors and active content creators.

  • Providing academic advising and other activities that support student success
  • Engaging in service to the department, college, and university
  • Supporting student productions outside the classroom.

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • A Master of Fine Arts or Ph.D. in film, media, communication or a related field
