The Communication, Media & Journalism Department of the University of North Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Communication and Media Studies. The department seeks candidates qualified to contribute to its Bachelor of Science in Film & Digital Media and Bachelor of Arts in Communication programs. The department also offers associate pathways that prepare students for these degree programs, and its faculty members are committed to being both effective instructors and active content creators.

- Teaching courses as assigned by department leadership
- Producing scholarship that advances the faculty member’s own professional development, increases student engagement, and enhances the intellectual life of the department
- Providing academic advising and other activities that support student success
- Engaging in service to the department, college, and university
- Supporting student productions outside the classroom
- A Ph.D. in communication, media studies, mass communication or a related field.
