JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting in the evaluation of Information Technology (IT) environments and recommending security measures and practices. Conducts and manages sensitive information technology audits for the University and related organizations. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

65% - Essential - Audits: Plans and analyzes information technology system audits leveraging COBIT, COSO, ISO and other relevant frameworks, regulations and guidelines. Reviews the selection and implementation of technical controls. Validates baseline security configurations for operating systems, applications, networking and telecommunications equipment. Prepares working papers and reports to support recommendations and conclusions with related IT standards.

15% - Essential - Technical Support: Provides IT Support for Internal Auditing Department (e.g. hardware, software, TeamMate Audit Management System, etc)

10% - Essential - Risk Assessment: Consults with users and management with information risk assessments. Performs risk assessments (e.g. data security, IT Governance, disaster recovery) and assists IT Audit Manager with development of annual IT plan to improve compliance and effectiveness of the Clemson University IT environment.

10% - Essential - Data Review and Analysis: Utilizes data analytics software to assist the department with auditing, consulting, and special reviews.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and experience in information technology systems or related area.

Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Two (2) years of experience in IT Audit, IT Security or related fields such as systems or audit.

Licenses & Certifications - CompTIA Security +
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB KNOWLEDGE : Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Two (2) years of experience in IT Audit, IT Security or related fields such as systems or audit.

Licenses & Certifications - CompTIA Security +
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Salary commensurate with experience.
