Position Description:
The Anderson Computing & Information Services (ACIS) Security Engineer will be a member of the team, providing day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions. Additionally, the incumbent should identify, investigate, and resolve security issues as surfaced by school personnel or security systems.
Secondary tasks may include involvement in the implementation of new security systems or solutions, participation in the creation and/or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments.
The incumbent is expected to be fully aware of both Anderson's and UCLA's security goals as established by stated policies, procedures and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding these goals.

In the 2007 edition of U.S. News and World Report, UCLA Medical Center was ranked best in the West, as well as one of the top 3 hospitals in the United States alongside Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
