PrintReading for Construction course description –Civil, architectural andstructural drawings commonly used in residential, light commercialbuildings, industrial construction and land development are studied inthis course. Plan views, elevations, sections, details and schedules areexamined in depth.

ConstructionMaterials and Methods II course description - This survey course introducesbuilding materials, and installation procedures and techniques, used in theinterior completion of a building. Subjects include various finishes, flooring,coatings, specialties, cabinets, counter-tops, trim, interior doors and MEPsystems.

Code, Contracts and Specificationscourse description - This course provides an introduction to local, state,national and international building codes and standards, including a survey ofcode organizations and relevant legislation. Contracts commonly used inthe industry are studied, along with an overview of projectspecifications necessary to meet contract requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management or related field or relevant industry certification(s) with 4000 hours of work related experience in the field.
