The Civil and Construction Engineering Department in the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology invites applications for a Lecturer position starting in January 2020. The position is a full time, non-tenure track appointment. The primary responsibilities for the position include teaching and service work with an emphasis on enhancing the teaching mission of the Department.
The appointment is for 9-months but has the possibility of teaching opportunities in the summer. The teaching load is nine courses per academic year (fall and spring semesters). Courses are taught on the Marietta campus of Kennesaw State University and are offered during daytime and evening hours. Faculty are expected to teach in a variety of instructional modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):
A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field, or its foreign equivalent, will be considered with industry experience. An earned doctoral degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field, or its foreign equivalent, is preferred.
Preferred qualifications include:
•Industry experience and/or Professional Engineering license.
•Experience teaching in various instructional modalities.
