Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

Kennesaw State University invites applications for multiple lecturer positions in English to teach General Education (first-year composition and sophomore literature), with start dates expected to be in January 2020 or August 2020. Lecturer positions are non-tenure track. Current teaching load is 5/4 with university service obligation. Ideal candidates will have an academic grounding in Composition and Rhetoric pedagogy and demonstrated skill in teaching college composition and literature. Candidates with experience teaching at KSU are encouraged to apply. Faculty teach courses in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid and online. A commitment to excellence in teaching and service to the institution are expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Experience in teaching and/or certification in hybrid or online formats and pedagogies is recommended.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Applicants are expected to have at a minimum a Master of Arts degree in English or a closely related field (Ph.D. is ideal), or its foreign equivalent, with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in English; a commitment to diversity and inclusiveness; a record of excellence in teaching; and a commitment to service and engagement.
