Marian University seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach.Primary responsibilities will include overseeing the recruitment and selection of student athletes for the Women’s Soccer Development Team as well as leading practices, attending games, and monitoring eligibility status for all athletes within the department (further responsibilities listed below).The successful candidate will also be the lead assistant for the Varsity Team.

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with NAIA recruiting rules and regulations Initiate the process for determining academic eligibility with Women’s Soccer athletes by department and PLAYNAIA standards Schedule and conduct regular practice sessions in and out of season while complying with relevant NAIA rules and regulations Oversee conditioning and training of team members in conjunction with Head Athletic Trainer to fully prepare students for competitions Enforce university and NAIA policies and procedures Recommend improvements and modifications to the program Promote academic progress of students through both grades and attendance Develop a competitive event schedule, in conjunction with the Athletic Director and Head Women’s Soccer Coach that fits travel budget as well as Marian and NAIA rules and regulations Oversee selection, purchase, fitting, and maintenance of equipment Conduct fundraising activities and assists with approved fundraising activities as requested Help with day to day operations of film, session planning, player meetings as requested Promote the philosophy and values of the Athletic Program and Marian University Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree Prior Coaching experience Demonstrated knowledge of rules and regulations governing recruitment, eligibility, and related functions
