The Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics and Information Systems at University of North Carolina Wilmington, Cameron School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track position in Information Systems to begin August 2020.

Minimum Requirements

A Ph.D. in Information Systems or a related area is required or must be obtained within the first academic year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who have already obtained their Ph.D. are preferred, but ABD’s will be considered. Candidates should be proficient in face to face and online teaching for undergraduate and graduate students. The ideal candidate will be able to teach in the area of software development. Secondary teaching areas are flexible, may be at the undergraduate or graduate level, and can include subjects such as software development methods, databases, systems analysis, IS strategy, survey of information systems, etc. A focused research agenda with an established record of publication or strong potential for publication is expected.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics and Information Systems supports the Bachelor of Science with concentrations in Business Analytics, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. At the graduate level, the School supports the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems and Master of Science in Business Analytics.

The Cameron School of Business is AACSB accredited and serves more than 2200 business majors, including graduate students in the PMBA, EMBA, M.S. in Accounting, International MBA, M.S in Business Analytics, M.S. in Finance and Investments, and M.S. in Computer Science and Information Systems programs. The Wilmington metropolitan area comprises approximately 225,000 people and features a thriving port, business community, and tourism industry.
