Position Summary

The Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy is seeking an outstanding candidate to join our faculty to provide leadership in clinical practice, teaching and scholarly activity. This position is a fulltime non-tenure track appointment at the rank of clinical assistant, associate, or full professor on our Southeast Georgia (SEGA) Clinical campus in Savannah, Georgia. The proposed start date is July 1, 2020.

The College of Pharmacy, based in Athens, has established and accredited regional campuses in Augusta, Albany and Savannah, Georgia. The Doctor of Pharmacy Program follows a 2+2 model whereby students complete their first two years on the Athens campus, with the last 2 years on campuses throughout the state. Active participation in the PGY1&2 residency programs and contributing to the teaching and scholarship missions of the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy are expected.

Savannah, GA is the healthcare and education center of Southeast Georgia. Located in Savannah, St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System serves the citizens of Southeast Georgia. Through its partnerships with the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and Medical College of Georgia, its regional health science campus leads pharmacy and medical education and residency training. The Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion (LCRP) at St. Joseph’s/Candler is one of the most innovative clinical oncology programs in the region.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must hold a Pharm.D. degree. Candidates must have a current license or demonstrate the ability to become licensed to practice in the state of Georgia.

Clinical track departmental guidelines on appointment and promotion will determine the appointed rank –

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification

The successful candidate will have one year of residency or post-doctoral training. Specialty or PGY-2 residency training and board certification are preferred.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

We are particularly interested in those that will develop and maintain excellence in education, scholarship and practice in oncology. However, other areas of clinical practice may be considered.
