Job Details
Under the supervision of the Associate Director, Administration, this position will assist with outreach efforts including preparing Facilities case studies, updating Facilities website, and developing graphics and outreach material (e.g., newsletter, presentations, videos); presenting NOVA’s Facilities Dept achievements and initiatives at various venues, both internal and external; developing metrics and collecting data about programs; coordinating with NOVA departments for new initiatives; seeking and submitting for Facilities’ departmental awards
Duties and ResponsibilitiesJob duties included but are not limited to:
•Collecting information and writing case studies suitable for web presentation and to support conference presentations
•Performing data collection and report writing for the Dept.
•Developing the graphics, content, and presentation format for an Energy, outreach product
•Presenting NOVA energy initiatives at internal and external venues
•Perform other duties as assigned.
•Associate’s degree in communications, graphics, journalism, business or related field
•Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
•Experience in marketing or communication OR equivalent applicable experience or training.
•Significant work experience in graphic production and/or marketing and communication
•Experience working in a facilities organization, or higher education.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, use of PC’s and peripherals such as scanners, printers, portable storage devices.
•Experience using graphical software and updating websites;
•Ability to perform data entry, compose written documents and scan documents.
•Ability to analyze and interpret data;
•Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and providing excellent customer service;
•Ability to be an effective team contributor;
•Excellent communications skills both oral and written;
•Experience in preparing successful award proposals and applications;
•Ability to follow directions, handle multiple priorities and meet established deadlines
•High initiative, positive attitude and attention to detail are essential.
•Maturity, self-motivation, and willingness to work as part of a team
•Applicants are expected to have strong writing and graphic development skills
The selected candidate’s offer is contingent upon the successful completion of an extensive criminal background

education, credit checks (relevant to employment), and other checks requested by the VCCS and NOVA such as
