Job Summary
This nine month, non-tenure track teaching faculty position requires teaching undergraduate courses in the Kinesiotherapy emphasis area, advising students, and providing service to the school, college, university, and professional organizations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: providing academic advisement, mentoring to undergraduate students, and participating in service at the community, university, and departmental level.

  1. Teaching undergraduate students in a variety of coursework in the areas of clinical theory, clinical assessment, and therapeutic exercise implementation

  2. Providing academic advisement

  3. Mentoring to undergraduate students

  4. Participating in service at the community, university, and departmental level

  5. Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Kinesiology or related field such as exercise physiology, exercise science, or higher education

Registered Kinesiotherapist

Three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level

Demonstrated experience in advising and mentoring students in a university setting

Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated use and repeated practice of teaching and instructional methods such as
classroom management, effective communication, and setting high expectations

Clinical experience in kinesiotherapy

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds, programs, and colleges.

Fundamental understanding of the Kinesiotherapy Scope of Practice and Standards of Practice.
