Faculty InitiativesGeneral Description / Primary Purpose

The University seeks to attract an active, culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of teaching, discovery, application and integration of knowledge. Three positions will be filled from this recruitment. Candidate is required to have a M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry. A Ph.D. is preferred.

Laboratory instruction.

Work with Lab Manager and Lab Technician to teach the labs and provide support each term.

Determine in advance of the term the supplies, chemicals and consumables to be ordered to support each section taught.

Determine that lab equipment and lab space are in good condition to teach the appropriate labs.

Required QualificationsFaculty Position Required Qualifications

Laboratory lecturer candidates are required to have at least a M.S. in Chemistry. A Ph.D. in Chemistry is preferred. Must be able and willing to comply with safety standards, regulations and precautions; able to stand for extended periods and to lift heavy objects.

Departmental Requirements

Ph.D. preferred.
