Position Summary:

The Chemical and Biological Engineering Department has a long tradition of academic excellence in research and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. A consistently strong emphasis on fundamentals provides our students with the skills they need to succeed in their careers. Many of our graduates are leaders in chemical engineering in both academia and industry. Graduate and undergraduate students at Wisconsin work closely with faculty on cutting-edge high-impact research. Principal Duties:

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering seeks faculty candidates to enhance present departmental strengths in research and teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a world-class research program, to provide undergraduate and graduate instruction in areas of technical competence, and to engage in public service as appropriate.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Ph.D. and a strong background relevant to Chemical and Biological Engineering or a related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

The department seeks applicants with a distinguished academic record and exceptional potential for creative research in fields of strategic importance to the future of chemical engineering, including connections to soft materials, catalysis, and process systems research. Applicants should also have a strong commitment to both undergraduate and graduate instruction.

In achievement and prestige, the University of Wisconsin–Madison has long been recognized as one of America's great universities.
