The School of Nursing and Health Studies is looking to hire an Executive Director for Student Services who will be responsible for developing and implementing the School’s strategic enrollment management plan and managing the day-to-day operations within the Office of Students Services (OSS) that includes recruitment, admission, academic advising, scholarships, and general academic, career, and student support services for the school’s undergraduate and graduate students. Responsible for implementation of UM & SONHS opportunities, policies, and procedures to provide students with accurate information and refer to others as appropriate. Assists with the creation of publications, brochures, student recruitment and annual reporting for the OSS office.
Develop and implement the SONHS strategic enrollment management plan in consultation with the SONHS leadership Supervise all personnel within the OSS, ensuring the successful implementation of undergraduate and graduate operations regarding recruitment, admission, academic advising, and general academic, career, and student support services Construct, refine, and oversee the implementation of standard policies and operating procedures within the OSS Ensure that all student records are translated into electronic files and uploaded into the appropriate record-keeping software Develop, implement, and monitor the recruitment and admission plan for the Accelerated BSN and graduate programs within the SONHS Work with faculty and OSS team members to support the SONHS course and curriculum functions by projecting course enrollments, decreasing registration issues, providing course scheduling timelines, entering courses into CaneLink, and ensuring consistency between the posted course offerings, Academic Bulletin, Student Handbook, Degree Progress Reports, and Plans of Study Monitor the continued enrollment of SONHS students and collaborate with the Canes Success Center and other on campus units to promote retention and on-time graduation Communicate with the SONHS leadership to ensure accurate content is posted in all recruitment, admission, and advising publications, brochures, and websites Serve as the main liaison between the SONHS and the Office of Admission, Student Health Center, Registrar, Office Student Accounts, and Office of Financial Assistance, and manage OSS staff relationships with other University and outside agencies (e.g., American Data Bank) Oversee the creation and maintenance of student data for SONHS annual reports and grant applications Direct the SONHS clinical clearance process and work with faculty as needed to ensure student compliance with all background check, drug test, and immunization requirements for students enrolled in clinical coursework Represent the SONHS at University meetings/functions and serve on various committees Collaborate with the SONHS leadership team to ensure accurate content in the Academic Bulletin Work with various units on campus to provide student engagement opportunities in the areas of academic success, career planning and preparation, research involvement, wellness, etc. Manage the graduation clearance process to ensure the timely conferral of SONHS degrees and the quick submission of information to the various boards of nursing in order to facilitate NCLEX-RN testing Crosstrain OSS team members and provide regular feedback to maintain proper coverage and uphold the highest-quality customer service Facilitate the SONHS General Scholarship Application and awarding process, and collaborate with the SONHS financial team and the Office of Financial Assistance to monitor account balances and post awards to students’ accounts Act as the main contact within the SONHS to hear grievances from students, parents, and other individuals, and to resolve them with viable, fair, and consistent solutions in line with University and SONHS policies and procedures
Master’s Degree in Education or related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience in student support services.
